iPhone app store winners & losers

The iPhone app store launched early today.  Read more at The Unofficial Apple Weblog about how to get it up and running.

My first impressions:

Winners

EverNote
A free alternative to OmniFocus.  It admittedly lacks some of the GTD-power of OmniFocus, but it looks to easily  be the best free app in that field.

CheckWord
For Scrabble enthusiasts like myself, this is a must have.  Now my friends and I don’t need to hunt down a dictionary when we argue over plays.

Shazam
Frankly one of the few truly “innovative” apps on here.  You can hold your iPhone up to a speaker and it will recgonize what song is playing.

Losers

A $.99 Flash-light App?  When there’s a free one?  Does this even need to be an app?

How many to-do lists do we need?
